Meet Dr. Kathryn Watts
KATHRYN WATTS, DMD, MS
Dr. Watts was drawn to endodontics because it is a field focused on alleviating patients’ pain and saving their natural teeth. She is passionate about giving her patients a positive and pain-free root canal experience.
After Graduating in the top 5% of her class at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, Dr. Watts pursued her doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she also finished in the top 5% of her class. She then moved onto The Ohio State University, where she completed her endodontic certificate and master’s degree in oral biology. She is currently board eligible and working towards her Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Watts’ passion for her field goes beyond her time in the office treating patients. In March 2019, Dr. Watts’ research on non-narcotic clinical pain management was published in the Journal of Endodontics. In April of 2019, she presented her research at the annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontics, where it was recognized as a “Top 10 Oral Research Presentation.” When it comes to her clinical practice and academic pursuits, Dr. Watts is dedicated to offering comprehensive knowledge as well as quality and compassionate care. At home, Dr. Watts and her husband, Shea, have four cats named Sophie, Curly, Douglas and Rosalyn. She’s proud to be a cat-loving dentist who also has a big sweet tooth! In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and documentaries, cooking, baking, and working out.”
